Okay, fandomweed is whose idea this actually was, but I can’t unsee it. I’m loving the idea of these two as Fat Charlie (Edwin) and Spider (Aldis).

Actual perfect casting. Too bad the producers would insist on making everybody white!

Pretty sure they already tried that. From the Anansi Boys Wikipedia article, a movie was being developed, but ‘moviemakers wanted to change the lead black characters to white or drop the magical elements altogether’, so NG turned them down, and it went into development hell.

Let’s hope he stands his ground until someone is willing to do it right.
